Edward J. Reilly, 84, of Scranton, died on Thursday afternoon at Abington Manor, Clarks Summit.

Born in Scranton, son of the late Joseph and Catherine McCrone Reilly, he was a graduate of Scranton Technical High School. He would continue his education at Sonoma State University receiving a bachelor and master’s degree in management. He answered the call of duty twice, as a proud retired veteran of the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Coast Guard. 

Ed also retired from the U.S. Postal Service, as the postmaster in Bodega Bay California. He was an avid follower of all Philadelphia sports teams.

He is survived by a son, David, Florida, a brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Ann Reilly, Scranton, and several nieces and nephews.

Ed was preceded in death by four siblings, Joann Bohr, Carol Munley, Miriam Mardany, and Thomas Reilly. 

Funeral services are private at the convenience of the family. Interment St. Catherine’s Cemetery, Moscow.
