Paula Connors

d. June 13, 2017

Paula Connors, Dunmore, passed away peacefully at home. Her husband of 51 years, Terry, and youngest, devoted daughter, Crissy, were at her side.

Born Oct. 14, 1946, in Olyphant, Paula was the daughter of the late Paul Tokarchick and Amelia Washeleski Tokarchick. She graduated from Olyphant High School. She and Terry met and knew they were meant to be together. They married soon after in 1965.

When Terry came home from the service, and Paula-Lynn, Amy and Crissy came along in fairly rapid succession, Paula decided the five of them would do something different. Paula became the loving and driving force behind their family, their business and way of life. She had an unshakable vision for the five of them to be involved not only with their extended family, but with their community, too.

Paula wanted to embrace everything there was to be experienced. She passed that on to her husband and her daughters and taught them how to live life with grace, integrity, dignity and most of all, humor.

Something that made Paula so happy (and Paula being happy made Terry very happy) was that she had the opportunity to meet and speak with so many people - presidents, entertainers and other people whose names or faces you know. She so loved when people would visit the studio and just stop and look at what they saw on Terry and Paula's "Wall of Fame."

From that, Paula encouraged Terry to donate his photographic history to the University of Scranton Weinberg Library. The Terry and Paula Connors Photograph Collection is a testament to Paula and her vision.

Paula also is survived by her loving brothers, Joseph and David Tokarchik, and her four grandchildren, her "Petunia," AnaMaryah, and AnaMaryah's husband, Derek; her "Just My" Brittney and Brittney's Gary, her "Pride and Joy" Anthony, and her "Surprise!" Sierra, will so miss their Gramma. Paula was a loving great-grandmother to her "Mermaid," Savanah, and her newest "Baby D," Derek.

Paula was well loved by her sons-in-law, Bernie and Brion, and step-grandchildren, Tyler, Taylor and Riley. Paula's cousins, aunts, uncles and extended family and adopted family will miss her deeply.

Paula's family also would like to thank Allied Home Hospice for taking such good care.

The funeral will be conducted Saturday, with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. in St. Paul's Church, 1510 Penn Ave., Scranton. Friends may call Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Frank M. Regan Funeral Home, 715 Linden St., Scranton. Interment private, at the convenience of the family.
