Vincent John Pawlikowski, 65, of Scranton, died Friday morning at Mountain View Care Center, Scranton.
Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late Stanley W. and Jean L. Pawlikowski. He moved to Taylor in 1964 and was a 1972 graduate of Riverside High School. Even though his disability prevented him from enlisting for military service, he greatly admired and supported our military veterans, and was especially grateful for his brother's service in Vietnam. Memorial Day and Veterans Day were an important part of his life, while he was equally proud of his Polish heritage and Catholic faith. In his younger, healthier days, Vince was known for his many biking adventures throughout Pennsylvania. He enjoyed interacting with his many cousins at the annual summer family reunion. A good appetite, sly sense of humor and robust singing skills enhanced his engaging and unique personality.
The family wishes to extend sincere gratitude to the staff of Mountain View Care Center for their care and support during this stressful period.
